Default g8 big block with a lift

ok, so i have a 90 g8 that did not have a motor when i bought it. i got a 16hp vanny from a buddy and i am planning to put it in the cart. i also got a 6" A-arm lift for the cart. my questions are, has anyone tried this? if so, do i need to modify or make additional brackets to level the vanny motor. i have a pretty good idea on what i'm going to do about throttle linkage, but i'm worried about the angle of the motor. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Welcome Jamisonc!

All of us guys on the G8 club have been talking about this for years....none of us have done it YET...Well, cause our G8 motors are still going strong. It would be a good idea to make drop brackets for the engine cradle, yes. Several people have done this with the G9's, but its just a different bracket.

We will require pictures, but you can get all the help you need on the G8 club!

I used a half inch hiem joint and a short piece of 2" square tube for the center mount. Then lowered the trailing arms with some steal plate.

Did you weld the 2" tubing to the original mount?
