It had no Cowl! LOL But, I have others in good shape but, shipping is more than the cowl? You would be better off if you can find these bulky items local.
If you still want one PM me. |

I am no longer offering cable for sale here. I may be willing to trade remaining set/set's for ? Her is a pic by the way of what good cables look like,
I call these the "bad boy" cables, 2/0 ![]() and a nice set of #2awg's ![]() and lastly a three month old #4 ugraded cable off of my buddies cart, next to a new #2 if anyone needs any info on brand of cable/lugs I would be happy to help them. |

No offense but for 20 bucks someone could go out and buy one of those hammer crimpers, and shrink wrap the ends and have the same thing, roady knows what hes talking about, id take a soldered cable over a crimped cable, but i dont have the time to solder each connection, how big of a soldering iron do you use roady?I need to make almost a complete set for one of the campground carts.

KC, for what it is worth. I just made a set of Crimp cables and I am not impressed with the hammer crimps. I have used 2 types. Done it on an anvil with a 2 lb hammer so don't tell me I didn't get it tight
![]() For soldering I use a propane torch with a instant on/off trigger start. Flux in a can (it's like a chewing tobacco can but, smaller), Silver solder like for household copper. Doesn't need to be silver, 50% silver would do but, silver flows and bonds superior to other metals. You need a good vise mounted on a work bench to do this efficiently. Scoop a little flux into the crimp end. Put the cable end in the vice with the wire entry end up. Heat. Fill 1/2 way (+/-) with molten solder. Remove heat, immedeatly insert wire. Hold steady for like 5 seconds. Done. Repeat like 19 times. The whole end takes 2 minutes, max. you can make a set in an hour like this easily. IMO this is far superior to crimp. Corrosiop needs air to happen, there is no air pressent in this connection also I have seen corrosion start under the shrink wrap . Good luck however you do it! |
