Samsula Dirt Drags
This is the response I got from Samsula, hope we have more that will make this one. The way it looks we could have a regular thing there. BIG E-Z was contacted first about Samsula and I know he is ready. I think this contact is good- allison@banditmudracing.com
Yes we would love to have you guys. We have a 200 foot clay track that we wet to get it tacky and then we grade it, then we have a mud pit which is also 200 foot but it is nasty black mud that is thick. But we will be racing again Feb. 21st. THe 3rd Sat. night of the month and if everything goes good and picks up we will continue to do so. Thanks for your time. Allison Turner I heard you were going to let golf carts run 1/17/09 also, there are a few of us in Florida that have modified golf carts but we were committed to run at Sumter motorsports park. We had 10 carts show, would have had more but some said it was too cold --- we had a good time but the track was way too short and very poorly prepaired. We will gladly come to your track for your next event if you will have us. We have gas and electric carts. We would like to run the dirt drag track, and I was wanting to know how wet is the track, sloppy, moist? We are by Golf Cart standards very fast, some are even faster, from electric to 1000CC engines. Please let me know and I'll post on our web site, I'm pretty sure we can get more than 10 the next time. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

Re: Samsula Dirt Drags
ok, nobody interested in the Samsula meet? Feb 21. They have different classes for the carts and I think a spotting qualification. I know the Sumter race wasn't ran right, every cart running heads up and single eliminations, I know Krazy's red cart would have beat my yellow cart. I'll only bring 1 cart from now on.

Re: Samsula Dirt Drags
They need a timing system like the real drags that way there is no question, second what is it really mud or sand drags? cause if were going to race on a hard packed dirt road whats the point? third is it just us racing together? big ez , ez money dont even respond. maybe they got tangled up in a extension cord haha nobody wants to run u any more, you show up and take 1st and 2nd (showoff) haha. now we are really outkasts, do i got you going yet? out of those 10 karts you got build a mud kart so we can race in the mud d@#%t

Re: Samsula Dirt Drags
From the pics I saw on the web site the drag strip looks like a tiller ground it up and then they graded it flat, it sure didn't look hard packed. I do have a mud cart in thought, but I've really got to think it out to be any competition to you, I'll get started on it after I finish the Limo. I am suprised that BIG EZ hasen't responded, he's the one that told me about this run, I didn't know they even did drags at Samsula. Hope some show up Feb 21. And about me taking 1st and 2nd, after I barely beat you in the first run you were the only competition for my fast cart, if you had run again my yellow cart wouldn't have had a chance. The single eliminations knocked you out of 2nd.

Re: Samsula Dirt Drags
ok guys, here is the deal,
The golf carts will run on a graded red clay track, smooth. There will be ATVs and golf carts only, no trucks. if we can get enough carts to show up we will have our own classes. they are timed runs, but not with a christmas tree, with just a light only. The classes are set up as the following: 4.5 seconds, 5 seconds, 5.5 seconds and 6 seconds. You make a run, get a time, and then decide what class you want to run in. they do have a mud hole, so krazy karts can put on a show. track is 200 feet. lots of shut down. $10.00 a class to run. Would like to see as many carts show up as possible. Thanks hmann, aka FAST BLACK |

Re: Samsula Dirt Drags
I'm in, can I bring both carts or do (I) have to choose one?? Just joking around, I haven't said much about the last meet, since it was so unorganized. Is there going to be a minumum age limit on cart drivers?
