| mine is a DCS 1996, which makes it more limited. but so far I am looking at hopefully getting a motor from plum quick( rewound one from my cart) not cheap for DCS. cables and 400amp alltrax and associated parts from scotty. currently mine only does 14MPH but has hardly any torque and a pooch in the snow. |

We will stay stock because we will not be racing ourself or others and it hurts the range of the cart. If I wanted gas too the electrical upgrades cost would by a very nice one. For our needs/wants electric was just the way to go. The cart is the only electrical vehicle we have however. I like playing with Deep Cycle batteries. Got to go check on our new 36v BatteryMINDer charge that came yesterday and I looked up last night. | |

| To answer the question at hand. 1. Money$$$$$$ makes electric and gas carts faster. How fast is dependent on how much $$$$$$$ is spent! Electric's are more effiecant than a gas and they smell better! Most of the time. SC and NC campgrounds don't allow gas carts in most of the time. Some of the Mountain campgrounds do. Electric carts are less maintance and have pure torque, gas have a belt that slips. I can out run a bunch of gas carts in my electric carts. Oh man wait a minute this was a thread on how to make a electric faster! Sorry.....$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ that's it! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| Here are a few things for speed on the cheap. Buy some auto wheels & tires for it. Vega, Miata, VW, any wheel with a 4 on 4 100MM bolt pattern. |
