Yamaha G9 project

Well, after much consideration.....I do not have time to finish this project. I bought this with the intention of putting my built clone engine in it. But....sadly I just can't do it.

It's a 1992 Yamaha G9 (according to the serial number). The frame is rust free except for the battery tray area where there is a little surface rust, and the battery tray is missing. The front wheel bearings need replaced. It steers fine. Shocks work ok. Trans goes in and out of gear smoothly. It appears to have a newer alum clutch installed, very nice. It rolls around nicely. The body is all there, but the cheap red paint needs to be removed, it's all flaky. No real body damage, normal scratches and scuffs. Needs a paint job. Fuel door is there, but hinge looks to have been replaced and is rusted out. There was a nasty wood box on the back that I removed, so there are a few screw holes in the back body. I have a top and basket for it. The tires need replaced. I have a starter gen for it. And....it needs an engine.

Oh, and upon further inspection, the seat covers had a weird clear plastic cover over them.....after I removed that....the seats looked like new! Bonus!!!

Now I have a newer Vegas Carts 440 engine that I built a little over a year ago, cam, arc rod, pushrods, the whole enchilada. I also have an engine mount plate from Vegas Carts. Prob have almost $1000 in this engine and mount. Might be willing to deal it.

Honestly guys, if I was feeling better and money wasn't an issue, I'd fix this up really nice and ask $2500 for it. But it's a project that I can't do and I am real sad about that. It will make someone real happy.

So? What's the price? You tell me.....

I would love to pick this up for next winters project, But I just seen the estimates on replacing our roof that my wife got today ! UGH I can't believe the prices we were quoted! Anybody want to work for beer and burgers ?

Hey guys, sorry for the confusion.

$600 for the cart only.

Needs the following to run:
1. engine of choice
2. primary clutch
3. battery and tray

The built VC440 I have I'd be willing to sell with the cart if desired. The crank is cut and setup for use with a tapered adapter. I also have a 94c duster style clutch I can sell that has the 30mm taper. This combo was used for one season, maybe 100 hours tops. Also have the VC440 engine mount for the G2/G9. I have over $1300 invested in this engine/mount/clutch setup. Willing to deal it.
