Default Ezgo 1992 Price

I need to buy a golf cart for my dad.

I am being offered a 1992 Ezgo thatīs supposedly in great shape.

If it was, what do you think a fair price would be?

Itīs motor has been recently adjusted, new tires and the seat has been refurbuished.

The offer is around $1,500-1,600. How much should I pay?

I will give you an idea, we just bought a 1991 EZGO Marathon (2 weeks ago now). Seats need new upholstery, body is dinged up, burnt up control board, one resistor broken. Front plastic bumper cover broken off. The cart drives and my girls have been driving it to death last couple weeks. The batteries tested good (bring hydrometer and voltmeter to test), and came with a Lester Charger. Only a two seater with still the golf bag holders in the back.

Here is some pictures: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/membe...-marathon.html

Cost $600 delivered to my house.

Maybe this helped?

Well, it is helpful but the model I'm talking about is not electric, it's gas.

This one seems to be in good shape, both the body and the motor. It drives just fine and it has new tires and the seat just refurbished.

Would you pay $1,300 delivered to mu house?

Cesar I don't think $1300 is unreasonable but I do think $1600 seems too high. I bought my 1990 Yamaha G8 gas for $1000 about 2 years ago. It was completely stock and all original dirty/scratched, old tires, etc. So if the cart is in good shape I'd say go for it if you can get it for $1300.

Thank you very much. This was very helpful. If anyone has an opinion feel free to comment. I won't see the seller until next week.

I think for a 23 year old cart, that's a little bit high.

If you don't know whether any motor work is done to it, or how it was maintained it could literally be one hard stop away from falling apart.

For that price, you can get a well loved Fleet car from any number of wholesalers.

If it were me, (and it's not, but just a piece of advice.) Try to stick to something in the last 15 years, unless it's a steal (almost free.) or you're prepared to spend another $500 - $600 bucks making it reliable and replacing any worn stuff like bushings, rusted bolts, wiring, etc.

Probably not what you wanted to hear but I had a similar scenario on a 94 Club Car and ended up walking away from it, and ended up with a 2000 EZGO for nearly half the price.

To put in perspective. You can get an off-lease 48V yamaha from Doug up at Knight Rides, for about $2300 plus shipping to your DOOR. :)
