Wanted: EZGO TXT Gas F/R Shifter

I'm installing a 2 speed rear end in my electric TXT that uses a cable to shift between high speed and low speed, so I was thinking of using the F/R shifter from the gas powered TXTs from 2003 to 2007 that is mounted on the body by your right knee like the electric series carts F/R switch but use a cable to shift F/R in the axle. I don't know much about gas rigs so I'm not sure what other years or models might do the same thing.
