WTB Yamaha Motor: G14 needs replacement

I'm in search of a G14 motor preferably, or any motor that could swap in to replace a G14 motor. I have two carts worth of parts that I would need to adapt to make something else work, however both my G14 block's are toasted in totally different ways. I've been told a G8/G9/ and I think a G2 would be possible replacements for my cart. I've been tossing around the idea of a Vegas Carts Big Block upgrade but thought I would check to see what is available first. I am located in Southern Illinois and would be willing to drive a reasonable distance to pick something up or would check into shipping costs if someone was willing to package the block. Hit me up, trying to do some research and weigh my options on the best decision. Thank you.

I have a G14. After years of driving it the smoking started for the second time. I decided not to be in the obsolete engine dilemma. Put in a VC 460 and absolutely love it. I parted out the original for $900 on e bay. To add to the story all I didn't sell was the fan housings,cylinder shrouds,flywheel,and the rocker cover. So I get a email from an ebayer last week if I still have the fan housing from may of 2016 listing. So he wants it I relist it and presto the is another $50 on top of the $900. So the moral of the story is once you switch to a modern engine parts are much cheaper and its done. P.S. I also looked at going to the later G16 engine but that is no cheap deal either with parts that need to be changed.

A cheap option would be to buy VC's engine and S/G mounts along with the steel clutch adapter and add a cheap clone engine for $300. And with the VC black friday sale those parts would be cheaper than they are normally.

I'm considering the Big Block route... but just trying to weigh all options right now. If I could sell parts and pieces off mine that would definitely help offset some of the cost.
