Yamaha G9 Price?
Hi folks,
I believe the time has come to part ways with my G9. It's been my baby and I love the thing, but since I have the Carryall all fixed up and running/working like it should, it gets all the use since it has a big dump bed. The G9 just basically sits there looking pretty, but rarely gets driven and I really hate to see it just sit. I'm trying to find a fair price to sell it for, would like some input from you fine folks. Engine was rebuilt about 6 months ago, transmission has been rebuilt (new bearings and seals), all the electrical re-done, HEI conversion, cheapie lift kit, 20" tires, paint, seats, etc. Runs great, quiet, strong. Maintained very well, doesn't smoke, tick, knock, or leak a drop of oil. Suspension is rough (thanks to the cheap lift kit) but tight, steering is tight and it runs straight. It's not 100% perfect (it has been used), but very solid, reliable, get in and go and it will start every single time type of machine. I can't think of anything at all that it needs except maybe the engine could use a bath (it never sees pavement, it's all dirt road or grass/yard). Is $2500 a fair price to put on it? |

Re: Yamaha G9 Price?
That would go for $1800-2000 around here A nice mint G16 gasser might get near that price.

Must be a north thing because you sure can't find them for that price in the south. I think CP241 is close to the asking price.

Re: Yamaha G9 Price?
I would say around $2300/$2500 would move it quickly at the right time of year, stock G9's go for about $1200/$1500 around here I guess it all depends on the demand in your area, I got about 3k in mine not counting all the fab work and labor, and I would hope I could get that out of it, maybe a little more if I sold it.. the last pic is of my ez-go that I sold this past fall for 2k.. I think I could of got more for it.. good luck on your sale, its a good looking cart and I don't think you'll have to much trouble selling it..(its tax time too)

Re: Yamaha G9 Price?
Nice rig. Thanks guys, you cant touch a stock gas cart around here for less than $2k unless it's either beat to death or has issues. I've rebuilt this from the ground up (literally) and hate to sell it, but also hate to see it sit and never get ridden. We have a bunch of land and just use the carts to get the mail, take out the trash, etc. Ever since I finished building my carryall, it gets all the use because it's got a big dump bed and a trailer hitch. Now the G9 just sits there collecting dust unfortunately. Dont "need" to sell it, just hate seeing it sit after all that work lol and would rather it go somewhere that itll get driven and used :) just wanted to make sure I was in the right ballpark with asking price, it's worth a lot more than that to me lol but I'll never get $50k for it

Re: Yamaha G9 Price?
I would easily get 2500-3000 up central mn for a cart like that with decent paint

Re: Yamaha G9 Price?
I see all 7 of those G16's I saw on craigslist are gone. Maybe one of you guys bought them all and took them where prices are higher.

Re: Yamaha G9 Price?
Northern CA - I paid $2500 for a 2005 txt, stock, years ago, delivered from a dealer - and recently $1600 for an ‘87 G2 in nice shape from a private party (CL) , if that helps. I’d buy it at your price !
