Default WTB - 1999 Club Car DS Hip Restraint tubing

On the 1999 Club Car DS Hip Restraints, it is nothing more than bent aluminum tubing, with a black hose material slid over the tubing.

I suspect almost any tubing with the right diameter would work. Or maybe theres an even a better alternative or upgrade for this tubing.

Looking for replacement, or upgrade to this side rail/hip restraint tubing.

Doesnt it connect to the pieces that bolt to the seat? or are you thinking about re doing an the entire piece? the only downside to not having aluminum is that they will rust which is one nice thing about the carts being all aluminum

Well, Im just after the outer rubber tubing.

I thought about retrofitting the new style plastic ones in, but after looking at whats in there, seems easy enough to just cut off the old stuff, drill out the rivets to get the piping off, and then just sleeve over some new rubber.

So, where to find that new rubber?

I don't know if they make heat shrink that big, but if they did it would be nice to slip it over then just warm it up and have it wrap tight

Check the pipe section of home depot or lowes. They make big heat shrink tubes to fit over PVC pipes in a variety of sizes. Works great. it's an easy way to make a snorkel on an ATV look very nice so it's not just PVC tube.

I've actually replaced the foam grips on my Gravely zero turn handles with heat shrink as well.

This comes in various sizes https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003ICY2BU..._mkEBBbTVY85Y3
