Default Darn it....the engine on my 1987 club cart lost compression

ok, I figured it would happen sooner or later......I really need an engine now guys. can I replace the engine on my 1987 with the 290 from a new golf cart?

J&M Golf carts has some real good prices on exchanged motors. I know they have the 290 but not sure about yours. Give them a call.

Club car changed engine rotation in 1997..........any big block will work, good luck with this ...

hey Scotty,
what is a big block engine. All I know is Flat Head and that my friend I learned from you.....lol.....is the FE290 considered a big block?

LOL..... no the fe290 is not considered a big block..... THe term big block is loosely applied to golf carts engines usually of the 2 cylinder V-Twin configuration.... Browes thru the big block section from the forum home page. Lots of good reading from everyones upgrades past and present
