Default this headache to go away.....

I am new to the Golf Cart forums, but over the past 3-1/2 to 4 months, I have been having real bad Migraine or Migraine like headaches that have not reacted well to medication and have come and gone (more come than gone). As I have had more Prayer than you can imagine, CT scans, blood work, MRI's Ultra sounds and several bottles of Vicodin (as Imitrex shots & Demerol have no effect on stopping the migraine or pain). I will be going back to the Doctor on Tuesday to find out the results of the MRI's and finding out if they have turned up anything or what my next options are. I haven't worked since the 13th of September and it is getting hard to deal with not feeling like doing anything (or not being able to do anything for any extended period of time). I am only 35 years old and have three small kids. It is tough sometimes, especailly when you know that bills have to be paid and there is nothing that you can do. My oldest came into my office today and gave me a hug as he regularly does and as he tried to pull away, I stopped him. He started to laugh, but I said for him to keep hugging, as it made me feel better, as it did and even brought a fear tears to my eyes, it did help me out for a brief moment in my day.

Well, tomorrow is the day. I do to the Neurologist to find out the results from my MRI's. No one here on the forums really know me, as I am new to the cart scene, but it is amazing how quickly your life can change (especially when it involves your health). I have went from having a photographic memory, knowing what I need to do without forgetting, remembering how to spell and add without a dictionary or calculator and feeling ready to just do whatever I want to whenever I want... to not remembering what I just did, who I just spoke to and having to continually make list and check to make sure that I have done what I am suppose to do for the day. All this and I am only 35. This has taken ten minutes for me to write so far. My headaches have now weakened a bit, but the big battle is the nausea, fatique, weight loss (due to loss of appetite from the nausea and dehydration - I have lost nearly 20 lbs in about two weeks) and still the sensativity to noise and light. It is a terrible feeling to know that in the past 4+ months, I have been in and out of work, and since being out of work with no real means to support my family. I haven't been taking any medication for pain, other than aspirin (which I take at bed time) as I have stopped all medications that I have been on to stop the headaches and I know that the withdrawal from them will be Hell, the longer that I take them. So when I feel like it, I am on the computer, the rest of the time, I am in bed. For those that are religious, say a prayer for my family is all I ask. for those that are not religious, just keep them in your thoughts. I will get better, it will just take time.

Today, I went to the doctor for the results from the MRI's. Everything looks good, though there were a few spots (6-10) that the doctor said could be playing a role in the headaches, but other than that, he says I am good. As far as pain goes, I have to keep my head warm, as the temp affects it and I am still have a little nausea, sensitive to bright light and loud noise. But, the good news is I can go back to work as longs as I can go without taking strong pain medication. It has been six days since I have taken any meds besides Nexium for "good ole" acid reflux and aspirin. So tomorrow, I will get to go back to work and see how things go for the rest of the week. My boss said we will take it one day at a time and ease me back into things. I appreciate your thoughts and continue to do so, as there is one thing about my work, it isn't a quite place. We have 28 presses from ~45 tons to 880 toms and a whole lot of load machines (loud enough that you have to wear ear plugs in my office sometimes). We will see... Thanks to all.

Glad to hear there doesn't seem to be anything life threatening in the dr's findings and hopefully you'll be feeling much better really soon.
