What tires can I use on Sand
I took my EZ GO gas model to the ranch this weekend....holy smokes I was getting stuck all over the ranch. it is all sand out there since it hasnt rained for a while the sand is like talcom powder. cart kept getting stuck. it doesnt have a lift kit at this time. but the problem is the tires. I have nomal golf cart tires on it and they just dont work in the sand. I really need to know if anyone has had this experience before with what tires I can solve the sand problem. the sand is bad enough that my ford f150 is on 4 wheel drive 100% of the time while at the ranch.

Re: What tires can I use on Sand
Yup - that won't go anywhere in sand. You'll need to lift it, add larger tires and wheels, then up grade the cables to 4 gauge. Since it is an older model, you may want to consider just looking into a newer / more current model that has already been built?
My 2 cents - It all depends on what you want to end up with and how much $$$$ you want to throw at it. |

Re: What tires can I use on Sand
I'm confused too. This guy wants offroad advice in the 4 sale section? Why do we have a a lifted golf cart section with the off road sub title?
I say post this question in the off road section if after reading a bunch of the topic there you might not even have to ask |

Re: What tires can I use on Sand
I placed it in the buy and sell section because I want to buy what ever I need to make my cart run on sand. I purchased some turf tires today hoping they will work on the sand with out me having to lift the cart. If I placed it in the lifted off road section I know there would be someone to tell me not to post in that section if my cart is not lifted or something like that. if the turf tires dont work I guess I will get a lift with bigger tires with some bigger threads. I already have one lifted club cart and one normal yamaha as you can see in the pics below. All three of my carts are gas cars.
