Just curious why would you want that? Does it make it faster or something?

Re: 36v series motor in 48v cc
I wish he hadn't posted it that way It was just a theory last year and until just a few weeks ago nobody had tested it. Recently a new member says thanks for the info it works great.... Well, now this guy wants to do it and GOD only knows how many others? It really has not been properly tested IMHO, Yes we have been doing the opposite for years but this is new territory. The jury is still out.... That is all I will say here

Re: 36v series motor in 48v cc
ok secrets out and am willing to try it, just dont want to buy a new motor to test it. there has to be something good come out of it.(or not)worse case scenario i lose the 36v motor then i will just go back to the 48v motor.

Re: 36v series motor in 48v cc
I think you will be okay. It will depend upon the condition of the motor you find and the type of driving and load you put on the cart> Of course we don't know where the weak link in the system is, IF there is one. But like I said we have been putting 48v in the 36v carts for years with good results so this theory is solid. We just have one test vehicle so far I feel better that everybody knows this is an experimental modification. It s in no way endorsed by BGW or any of it's Sponsors (except me a little) Keep us posted.
