used Harley cart parts

I have a large selection of used harley parts.
All are from gas carts

Hello,
This maybe should be posted in another section but oh well. I just aquired a 79 HD gas 3 wheeled cart. Had to put new jug piston/rings cause old was chunked. The drive clutch wiggles so not sure whats going on there. tried the air into the fill hole to get the cover off but did not work. Also, should this work like my snowmobile clutch where at top speed the drive should be all the way together and the driven all the way apart? On my cart the driven only opens enough for the belt to ride half way down. And the drive closes about 80% of the way. I assume this is why it will only go 10MPH? Needs some help here , and maybe some parts. Compression is a solid 90 plus but it seems to lose it's fuel prime after about 10 minutes. What kind of surface temps should I be seeing on the top of the head when warm? Seems like it's gettin pretty warm. I have an ir thermo I can check the surface with. Hope you can lead me in the right direction. thx

I've never had any luck getting the covers off the clutch with air. I have a small piece of flat stock metal I use along with a hammer to get them apart.
Your clutches work the same way your sled clutches work. couple things to check.
your belt might be worn.
primary clutch might need some attention. there are a few parts that wear out or it just might need oil is all.
on the back side of the stationary flange of your secondary there are two rollers check to see if they are free and there are no flat spots on them.
if you post in the harley forum you will get more responses than in the classified section.
what # spark plug do you have? if you want to get rid of it I collect them so don't throw it away.
