Rear view mirror vibration.
I just installed a 5 panel mirror. It is attached to the underside of the roof. I like it but it just vibrates way to much! Any body else have this problem? Someone said put a rubber washer between the mounting bracket and roof to absorb some of the vibration. I really need a rear view mirror any ideas or should I just get another type of mirror. What are you usin?

Re: Rear view mirror vibration.
I think they all are going to vibrate unless you can get your cart to ride like a caddilac I have the same mirror and it does vibrate a bit but I can still see whats behind me fine.

Re: Rear view mirror vibration.
Mount it to the front struts, it eliminates a bunch of the vibrations.

Re: Rear view mirror vibration.
Thats what I was thinking of doing. I will have to fab up some kind of a bracket to mount it. If you could post up a pic of how you have yours mounted on that would be great!

Re: Rear view mirror vibration.
Most multi panel rear view mirrors come with the brackets to hook to top supports.

Re: Rear view mirror vibration.
The amount of vibration you get is relevant to your suspension, the tire pressure, your speed and the road surface. They all vibrate a somewhat, I just need to see if something is there not read their license number. Mine is attached to the support, here's a pic:

Re: Rear view mirror vibration.
i personally don'tlike those do to the vibration. but to each his own. i use a round blindspot mirror. Mine are bolted through the windsheild support. can be found at most big rig truck places(in stainless) or the cheapies like i use at advance auto or the like at about $8 with plastic backs. mounted like this mine on a club car hardly vibrates at all. but the big thing is how solidly your roof supports are attached to the cart and the roof

Re: Rear view mirror vibration.
I had mine mounted directly to the plastic roof. I have an EZ-GO roof that I fabricated mounts to my Yamaha cart. I will look into mounting it to the roof supports.

Re: Rear view mirror vibration.
I personally like the marine ski boat mirrors that mount to windshield supports.
Mine is 14" long and I can see beside as well as behind my cart. I have since installed several more here in park and last one cost $14.00 plus shipping. |
