Clear Lens Piranha LED Tail/Brake/Turn Lights
Brand New, Never Installed! I bought these for my '97 CC DS but it turns out they don't quite fit if mounted vertically (flanges hung over the curves in the panel a 1/4" top & bottom. bummer!). However, they will fit if turned in at a 45° angle if you're thinking about using these on DS. I'm sure they would have looked fine at an angle, just not my cup of tea.... Measurements are listed below for other applications.
These lights are VERY bright! They each use 10 high quality Cree Piranha Red LEDs with individual optics for each emitter. At 12V, they pull a mere 0.025A in Tail Light Mode and only 0.162A in Turn/Brake Mode! Internals are epoxy potted! The 12in, 16awg Pigtails terminate into a very secure weather resistant connector. The plastic flanges might require a drop of silicon (or similar) for confident mounting of the lights. Not sure why, but they don't appear to fully snap into the frame. Better fitting rubber flanges are available for only $4 shipped. I prefer the look of the rubber mounts, but they will work fine either way... GREAT PRICE I PAID MORE THAN THAT FOR EACH LIGHT WITH CHROME BESEL. I have a set of these on my custom body ( flat surface ) and you are correct they are BRIGHT. Mine have chrome besel around lights to set them off even more in daylight.
WISH I KNEW OF SOME ONE NEEDING THEM BUT CANT AFFORD TO STOCK THEM. |

thanks for the endorsement! i really wish they fit in the spot i had in mind as they do look good! i'll be picking up a set of same lights only round once these sell. i should have measured prior to ordering.
 the chrome bezels are available for these if chrome is your thing  -sj |
