WTB Used Engine

I have a Troy Built lawn mower that the engine has blown (broke rod, broke cam, split block). I am looking for a used 18-24 hp Briggs Vanguard verticle shaft engine, Any help would be appreciated.

This guy here was going to try to put a vert shaft in a cart..think he still has it.

Thanks, I will check it out. I would really like a vanguard so everything would bolt up the same, but beggers can't be choosers!

No, I just tore it down last night and haven't researched it much. Where can I get a short block from?

Any local small engine shop can price one for you or you could source it over the net.
You will need your model, type and serial #s for both.

I have a 17 horse twin Briggs and stratton. real nice can send you some pics if you want.

I really need a vanguard verticle shaft motor, I think this way everything will still bolt up the same.
