1996 Club Car DS 48 volt..

This cart has undergone a complete "frame-off" rebuild after taking a "swim" during Hurricane Ike, all electronic components and wiring have been replaced.. The cart has been upgraded in performance and has a 25MPH top speed.. All parts used in the rebuild are OEM or quality brand name aftermarket.. This cart is a 48 volt "series" system..

The cart is equipped as follows..

General Electric D395 "Beast" series motor. (Peak HP: 19HP @ 2300 RPM & 400 amps)

Alltrax "AXE" 500 amp programmable electronic motor speed controller..

Club Car "MCOR" electronic throttle control..

Heavy Duty F&R switch..

400 amp Severe Duty main solenoid..

All hi-amperage wiring is custom made from 4AWG welding cable, using tinned copper lugs and adhesive lined shrink wrap..

20 amp 48v to 12v DC to DC converter for powering accessories..

Complete factory light kit (head & tail lights, brakelights, turn signals, & horn)

Rear view mirrors..

Unique key switch for improved security..

Sun top with fold-down windshield..

Trailer Hitch (2" receiver w/ball mount & 2" ball)..

Jake's 3" spindle lift kit with 10" wheels..

Steel cargo box w/bed mat & tailgate..

Heavy duty front & rear springs..

Four new shock absorbers..

Custom moulded dash cover with locking glove box doors..

Interstate 8 volt batteries installed in April 2010..

Also included with the cart is a used front cowling in excellent condition, Factory service manual, manuals for all installed components, and a wiring schematic..

The rear axle was refurbished with new seals, gaskets, and had a set of 8:1 "hi-speed" gears installed.. The stock 12.5:1 gears will be provided with the cart if more pulling power is desired..

The brake system is completely rebuilt, including new cables and brake shoes..

During the rebuild, the troublesome Club Car "On Board Computer" charging system was eliminated.. The cart includes an aftermarket 48 volt automatic "smart" charger.. The cart can be left connected to the charger during storage without harm to the battery pack.. The charger monitors the pack voltage and cycles as needed to maintain the proper charge level..

All that remains is to get the body & paint work done, but the cart is fully operational as is.. Click on link in my sig to see the build thread..

Thats a great deal. The D395 is 11.4 hp @ 2300rpm on a 48V system though. bump.
