FS: Cool Wheels and Tires
I have for sale a set of (4) wheels and tires that were on my golf cart when I bought it. I was told that they are from a British Mini Sports car of some sort and were carried from England by a race car driver to put on his team's golf car here in the states. I now own that golf cart.
That said, these wheels and tires are well used. The wheels have some cosmetic scars and bruises, none of which are overly significant. The tires are hand-grooved rain tires as used on a race car. They still have some life left in them. They fit my cart (which is NOT lifted) perfectly with no rubbing anywhere, even at full steering lock. They will come with generic lug nuts. There are no center caps. I'm asking $175 plus shipping and PayPal fees. PM me with any questions. |

Re: FS: Cool Wheels and Tires
Perhaps posting the size would help
If no size is printed on them at least comparing them to stock size |

Re: FS: Cool Wheels and Tires
If those rims are from a 60s - 70s era Mini Cooper, they are 10". The tire size, I don't remember!
I blew up one of the pics and the tires are 18.0 x 6.5 x 10, Made in Chile! |

Re: FS: Cool Wheels and Tires
Not sure if they were from a Mini Cooper, or some other mini (small) car like a Sprite etc. Correct, the tires are 18.0 x 6.5 x 10.

He's not up to speed on the whole "gift" thing....
Hey, ya can't see through these wheels. Those are die-cut stickers. Never seen that before. Early versions of cars by Mini used 10" wheels, later replaced by 13" wheels for larger brakes and better handling. |

Re: FS: Cool Wheels and Tires
Definitely for/from an Austin/Morris Mini, though not necessarily a Cooper or even an "S". They are a fairly common after-market wheel. Possibly "MERCURY" brand. Minis ran 10" wheels until '74 when they went to 12".
I currently own a '61 Austin Mini which I bought in '88. Sold my '65 Morris Mini Woody Wagon a couple years ago when I had to move to a place with no shop/storage. :-( I still miss that car. |
