would this work?
i want to replace my front shocks, but i don't want the stock ones,i noticed that Yamaha's rear shock for a G-1, is just what i am looking for, but was wondering if the lengths were close, or if there was a specific year of Yamaha that would work.

The only downfall of using a Coil-Over is that with your Leaf-Spring,its' going to make it quite stiff.But if this is what you are looking to do,then go for it.I don't know the length of a G1,but G2 shocks are 10-1/2" eye to eye when fully extended.G9s' are the same,not sure about others(all Yamahas' use them).Hope this helps.
