Default Wanted: 36v motor

I'm looking for a 36v motor for a 1993 Club Car to replace a bad one. I don't need anything fancy. If you've got a stock "pull" after upgrading to a new motor, I'm interested in the old one, or if you've got a better motor for a good price, let me know. Not looking to spend a bundle of money since I don't know if the cart has other issues yet.

I believe it's a 10 spline shaft.

Thanks.

It's rare to see one of these go bad?

that's what I thought too, but the person I bought the cart from said they took it to a local shop, and they said it was toast. It doesn't LOOK real good (it was off the cart, and sitting in the basket when I got it). I considered trying to put the motor back together and try it, but not sure it's worth it. Probably other problems in the cart too, who knows, but I need to get everything together and start testing.

Looks like my motor may not be totally shot. Maybe they took it out without knowing what was wrong, and never bothered putting it back. I reassembled it and tested it with 12v, and it spins, but it was "rubbing" a little but I think that was because it was not mounted to the rearend, just standing on its backplate, so not really "balanced" in the case.

Still looking if anyone has one for the right price though. I may need it for another project anyway.

Oh, also, anyone that has any bolts for mounting the motor to the rear end, let me know how much you want for a set. The bolts were nowhere to be found, so I need some to mount and test the original motor. Or if anyone knows off hand what size (thread, length, etc.) bolts I need I'll just go pick something up at the hardware store for now. I guess I'll have to go measure the flange and whatnot, and check the threads to see what fits..

three of the bolts are 1/4-20 and the one on the bottom is 5/16 - 18 threads... I don't remember the lengths...

Thanks phasetim. I was looking at it a little bit ago and it looked like they were 1/4-20 but I didn't grab a bolt to confirm it. I measured the thickness of the rear end where the motor mounts, and it is 2", but I didn't measure the depth of the threading on the motor yet, but figured 3/4-1" would be long enough to secure it. Will put a straw in the hole and mark and measure it tomorrow to be sure though. The tab on the bottom looks to be just a tab on motor and one on rear end, with a hole for a nut and bolt, rather than threading a bolt into the tab. Although I could be mistaken?

If you were going to spend the money anyway - send it off to EMP....

At least feed some speed to your ride.

Blue Chip, I probably would, if I were sure I would be keeping it, but it may just end up a restore and sell project, to fund one of the others. I have 4 carts, and haven't decided what to do with each one quite yet. I have a 600cc motorcycle engine conversion in the planning stage right now, so the others will probably be built and sold. I know at least ONE has to go eventually, the others I might build in various ways. One lifted electric, one lowered electric, and one custom gasser...

Thanks.
