Looking for: Charger receptacle and end
I just picked up an old (really old) 36v taylor dunn charger that I'd like to put an EZ-Go plug on, but I also need an EZ-GO receptacle for the cart (someone cut it off during/after the wiring caught fire).
If anyone has these parts, or knows a good inexpensive source for them, let me know. I saw a set for a CC on eBay for about $40, which seems reasonable, but I didn't see both the plug and receptacle for an EZ-Go. Doesn't the EZ-Go have a two prong connector that is just straight side by side, not like the crowfoot the club car has? I would just get the CC part and make it fit, but would like the ez-go to be as stock as possible in case I sell it to someone WITHOUT the charger. Figured I'd post and see what the consensus is. Thanks. |

Re: Looking for: Charger receptacle and end
The ezgo plug is cheap...google Anderson SB 50 series Plug .
Allied electric has them as well as many others. |

I Have Some Newer Model Ezgo Recepticles, And Maybe A Plug. You Could Have Both For 20.00 Plus Whatever Shipping Is.

Re: Looking for: Charger receptacle and end
With the newer EZGO charger plugs you will have to have both male and female components. The Anderson SB50's are the same 2 pieces. There are different colors depending on what amperage/size cable you are using. Be sure and get a matching set.(same colors and gage)
Here is a link to Allied electric...plugs are $3.35 each NEW and are 50 amp units. These DO NOT have the EZGO outer plug cover....its just the plug and terminals. You do not "have to have" the outer cover to make the connection. The outer covers are pretty cheap to...sub $5 Allied Electric - SB50 Attached is the datasheet with part numbers for the Anderson SB Series Plugs |

Re: Looking for: Charger receptacle and end
Thanks eric4clubcar and roady89.
The ez-go is an '88, so it's not real new. I'd like to get all the original parts to fit this one, but I am thinking I might just order the allied part and if I end up selling the cart I'll sell it with the charger I bought yesterday. I am sure I can make it work without a problem. Thanks again. |

Re: Looking for: Charger receptacle and end
An 88 will use the SB50. Inside a factory ezgo plug cover is the Anderson SB50 grey plug that I linked you to. 2 of the SB50's will connect to each other with or without the cover. (below)
I was wrong about the price of the cover, sorry....the one I just looked at was $13. You should be able to find one cheaper. Just do your homework and not get screwed over by a Jim bob's golf cart shack. (figure of speech) |

Re: Looking for: Charger receptacle and end
You need to ask that question in the right forum, this is the for sale section. Starting a new thread is just as easy as posting in someone else's thread.

Re: Looking for: Charger receptacle and end
I Can help ! First it is my guess that you are new to discussion forums as well as golf carts
This right here is someone else's discussion you are hijacking the topic or just interrupting with a different topic. You need to go to the Home page for BGW and select the section which covers a category of carts which describes your cart. Like Ezgo gas or Club Car electric.....The at the top left of the list of topics choose new thread instead of post reply. Then give as much technical info about your cart as you can and as much history as you think is relative..... There is plenty of good help here.
