Ran across this on craigslist, maybe it's a deal for somebody.

Re: Craigslist Atlanta
That would be the Club Car Caroche with hydraulic brakes. Club Car's first golf cart.
EDIT: Upon closer inspection, the top appears to be that from a Ezgo TXT, not a Caroche |

Re: Craigslist Atlanta
Wrong top but look at the front fender and it has 3 pedals. You were right the first time. It is a Caroche. I am not a CC guy but I think I'm right.

Re: Craigslist Atlanta
DEFINITELY a classic Caroche, the predecessor to the DS. I've wanted to restore one for a long time. Yes, the top is wrong and from an EZGO, the rear supports are actually correct, but the front one looks wrong.
I Found a Caroche with 1 year old batteries a couple months ago that was going for $600, a good deal but it was too far away. The brakes are a problem on these carts cause you can't get parts for them anymore. This is an okay deal if you really want one, but I'd try to get them to come down a couple hundred, you're gonna have $600 at least in batteries right off the bat, plus who knows what in hard to find brake parts. |

Sorry, I should have worded that better. I knew it is a caroche but that the top was not from a caroche.

Re: Craigslist Atlanta
I sent him a message asking to hold till warmer weather if he can but no reply so far. I really want one of these for a future build, at least the rear fender/seat area.

As for brakes, I'd personally use the fact that brake parts are expensive and hard to get to try and work down the price some. Once I got the cart I'd tear into the brakes and probably get the shoes re-lined locally if I couldn't find any, and then hunt for a rebuild kit for, or a whole new, master cylinder. |
