Looking at trading my CC DS 36V for a Gas Cart. I looking at buying a permanent camping spot and the place is a little to hilly for an electric Cart. So here are the details.
1986 CC DS 36V. Batteries are US 2200 and are 3 years old. 4" Jake's double a-arm lift 10x7 Storm Trooper Golf Cart Wheels 23x10-12 All Terrain Sahara Classic Tires Custom Fender Flares Deluxe Light kit Carbon Fiber dash kit Carbon Fiber inlay steering wheel Chrome steering column cover Charger Cart runs strong and I don't have any problems with it. |

Re: Trade
With everything you have already done to the cart why not upgrade to a 48V controller and pack? Or even go to 72V.

Re: Trade
With the terrain out there, the best bet is to go with a gas cart. 98% of the carts I seen out there were gas. Just seems the best bet is to try and trade for a gas cart. I loved building this cart. Worst case, I will keep it and do just that.

Re: Trade
My thoughts are with a 36V motor and 48V to 72V across it . It would produce some nice power. It just looks like such a nice cart is all .

Re: Trade
Put 72 volts to it and you will out run any stock gas cart! I just traded for a gas cart and well lets just say it's a special cart with special needs!

Re: Trade
So maybe I will keep it and do the conversion. I just know its going to cost me close to $3,000 or more to do. I have to convert it to a solid state system which is $850 plus new cables which is another $250. Then I have to get a new battery charger, $285. Then new batteries = $1200-1500. All that on a 36V motor. Have to add in a PQ Motor, $225 on the cheap end. I'm just not sure its worth it to sink that kind of money into a 1986 cart. Sounds like ALOT of fun. If I did all that then I would never sell the cart. What to do, what to do. I'm so confused.
