Default G1 pricing suggestions.

Got this G1 I built. Don't know what the price should be on it and figured who better to ask then all the knowledgeable people here. It has a 500cc motor. Custom mounted gas tank. Diamond plate kick panels and floor. 22" tires with 8" rims. 6" lift. Here's the bad, no title and pull start right now but I may install a starter if I can find a cheap old Briggs and Stratton starter with 9 tooth Bendix. Anyway what do you guys think is fair price for it?

I'll give you an answer, but you may not like it though. Any older, non restored, running and driving cart that isn't rusted out or banged up is worth $1000. That's usually where I start. I will usually add or subract from that figure depending upon the details of the cart.

The pull start on this one will detract from the value. I'm also betting it doesn't have reverse, correct? Deduct for that as well. So, I'm putting the value at $600, assuming it does run, drive and stop. It looks to me like it needs a few things finished, and maybe paint? Looks like primer in the pic? With the finishing touches you might get $200-$400 more depending upon the quality of work. Some enthusiasts might add $400-$600 for the lift and tires. So that might put you back up to the $1000-$1200 mark for the right buyer. If it's all finished/polished up and all detailed out, it could possibly sell for $1800.

A good used and reconditioned cart is usually $2500-$3000 depending upon the year and condition. The older G1's just aren't worth much. Mostly because they are 2 stroke, but also because parts are not common anymore. Aftermarket support for the G1 isn't good. They also are a little smaller than the modern carts of the 2000 vintage and newer. They are, however, popular with enthusiasts and are good carts to tinker with. If you get a good running stock cart, they sure are cool!

I started paint, figured I would go with a color I like, and end up keeping the cart if I get no interest. I'm going to install the front bumper this week, found a starter so I will wire it up for push button start. See what happens from there.
