what about the points?? there are 2 dots to time by. the motor rotates in both directions for the forward and reverse. they can be seen through a small hole next to the coil. i usually remove it so i can see what i am doing. if the flywheel is rusty i put a small flat screwdriver in the hole and turn the motor. it cleans the rust and leaves the 2 dots. from there you have to gap the points .022 is the gap then you have to rotate the point plate to the point where both dots can be seen as the point closes by turning the motor clock and counter clockwise. i hope this helps. btw you might move the post to gas harley carts. it is on down on the home page

I have set the time exactly like you said and no start, I have 65 psi compression in reverse and 62 in forward. I'm new at doing forum so I do I move this to gas Harley carts.

You need new rings or a top end job. Your compression is too low!
