1977 DE40 Not running anymore
I bought a 1977 Harley DE40 that ran and I saw it run. I bought new batteries for it, pressure washed the frame and grease off, painted the frame, installed new batteries and cables, put the charger on and now I have nothing. My batteries are wired properly in series. When I press the accelerator I get a click out of one of the 3 solenoids and relay mounted below them makes a sad buzzing sound every once in a while. I believe that is the culprit but don't exactly know how to test it out and can't for the life of me seem to find another one online. I'm not sure what I'm looking for or if I'm even going in the right direction. I checked with the local cart dealer and they didn't have a clue there. The part making the noise is in the pictures and all I see on it are 24v and Cole USA Boston. Cole was bought out by Littlefuse and I haven't heard a response from them either. I hope someone here could help me get this going! Thank you for looking.

The site wouldn't let me edit my post. It's a 36v 3 solenoid setup. 2 six post and one 4 post, all 12v I believe (the 2 six post are for sure.)

Harleycart77, go to "VINTAGEGOLFCARTPARTS.COM" They have diagrams and a troubleshooting guide for these carts. I have a 1976 that I think is just like yours but have not gotten to work on it yet.

Look in the stickys the wiring diagram is in there. I think it's the reverse buzzer.
