Default Sd card viewer

Do any of you have a sd card viewer where you can view your trail cam pics without a computer? Either a unit that you view them on or an adapter for android. Which ones do you have or seen that you recomend?
Thanks

Usually, if you buy a Micro Card (for your android phone), they often come with an "full" SD adapter...

You plug the micro into the "full" SD Card adapter and it becomes an normal SD Card you plug in your Cam and reverse to plug it back into your phone. Not sure if now they sell just the adaptor alone without the Micro Card, but cost dropping dramatically down, consider you have a free Micro Card with the adaptor (if you take the smallest), or time to buy the memory you think you need... *smile

This being said, you have to take care, large memory cards use different standards. Search on your memory card if you see MicroSD, MicroSDHC or MicroSDXC. Your adapter must have the same standard (see attached pictures, the second makes the 3 standard for instance not the first one)...

I use one of these and use my phone. Mine is a Samsung Galixy 5.

There are pros and cons of using this. The pros are that it is easy to store and share pics from your phone. And the fact that you always have your phone. It is also cheap.

Here's the down side. For some reason, if you use this reader, you have to keep using this reader. If you use this one time and then try to use a computer or tablet the next time, your pics won't show up. They will also be corrupted and you won't be able to look at them on your phone again until you format the card (deleting pics). I lost a bunch of pics of who knows what before I figured this out.

The second downside is that when the phone updates, it can change the way the reader works. It started out that you had to click on each pic to look at it on full screen (as opposed to about a 1/2" square pic) then you had to back out and click on the next one (not too bad if you don't have a pile of pics). Next update you could click on the first pic to make it big, then scroll through all the pics, which was great. Now I'm back to having to click on each pic.

For me, the ease of using your phone without having to pry it out of its case makes it worth it. If you try one just make sure you follow the directions I gave at the beginning of the post or you'll get fed up with it.

Just buy a cheap disposable tablet. I have one for the "reading room" that I can browse the web, play games and what not that was a blistering $28 with a 7 inch screen..

I use this and it is great, no issues going back and forth between this and a laptop with the cards.http://www.boneview.com/products/bon...e-5-6-and-ipad

That's pretty handy for several applications. Looks like they also have it for Android users.
