My 11pt.
I shot this deer in the fall but did not join the forum till now. Figured i would share some pictures. I shot it Clinton County PA. It was only my second buck ever. Shot it the first day of Rifle season with a .300 savage. It was an 11pt. with an 18 inch spread and 11 inch G2s

Thanks guys, I even won 400 dollars in gift cards off of it from a local radio station's biggest buck contest.

Re: My 11pt.
That's one heck of a deer. Really breath taking scene behind you in that first picture too. Snow and mountains are two things we are a bit shy on in Louisiana. I'm in Brazil right now (work) and they got plenty of mountains but snow is only in pictures here.
Coincedentally, I was just looking at a deer in PA on a live feed wildlife web camera along with some coons. I will post a link on here in a little bit so others can check it out. |

Re: My 11pt.
I hope you can post that link that is pretty cool. My camp sits on top of the mountain and from my tree stand I can turn around and look the whole way across the valley and up the other side. On a clear day i can probably see better than 20 miles up the valley. I like to look out when the woods are slow and quiet. As for the snow that was about 4 inches on the first of November. But we had even more in bear season a couple of weeks earlier.

Re: My 11pt.
I wouldnt even know what it's like to hunt in the snow. I'd love just once to blood trail in the snow.
BTW, I made a new thread on here for the webcam site. There are 3 coons feeding on a deer carcaas at one camera and a coon feeding on corn at another camera. There was a big doe with that coon a little while ago but she left. Here's the link anyhow. http://www.pixcontroller.com/WebCam/WebCam.htm |

Re: My 11pt.
He had a big frame but did not weigh that much because he was still rutting hard. He had no fat on him. I don't know his exact weight because i did not weigh him. But probably around the 185-190 range. As for the blue cloth. My camp is 2 hours from my house and he had to ride home with all of our gear in the bed of the truck. He had quite a few ticks on him so we put the tarp over him. so they did not get in our gear.
