My favorite rod. Have many rods< can't say any is my favorite. I have custom built many rods, so these are the ones I like the best, had an Ultra light slow action that finally gave out, was one of my most used. Have 2 10ft wompin sticks use for trolling, with salt stalcker reels, these are my favorite for trolling. Have a 21 ft crappie rod use for fishing in marina, caught a 14 lb carp on it, talk about fun. so favorite rod no. As far as line for my fishing use Stren salt water 10lbs in lake Erie last very well, and 5100 yard cost me under $30.00 so have plenty for my reels.

Building custom rods is as addicting as golf carts. I have way more then i need after 10 years of building. Sure is fun though.

21 foot rod is so you can cast those tiny little baits for crappie(or bluegill, etc)... Its kinda hard to get a cricket with no weight to go very far on a 5 foot pole. About the only way to do that and be successful on a short pole is in a boat, or on a bank where your honey hole is only a few feet off the bank.. I been seriously considering getting one.. I don't know that they are 20 feet long, but Bass Pro has some seriously long crappie poles and they are cheap....

My favorite rod was probably my St. Croix until I slammed the car door shut on it one day.
I have a Star Rods(American Made) that I got at the pawn shop with an peice of crap Okuma spinning reel on it I got from a pawn shop for 10 dollars.. I love that rod now that i swapped the reel out for a Pflueger....

I also got a Shimano, one of the ones with the butt grip milled off... Its nice because its really light for being over 7 foot long, but its chinese which doesn't make me feel that good.. I just got it because Sports Auhtority had it on sale for like 40 dollars off and I needed another spinning rod. But it still kinda grated me to pay 100 bucks for a chinese rod that probably cost 5 dollars to make...
