Default Any quick tips for whitetail hunting in the snow?

Sounds like we'll be getting a big storm this weekend right when late muzzleloader season starts. I suspect since the rut is pretty much over around here, the deer will probably be bedded down for the storm.
Do any of you guys from up north have any tips for finding the deer in the deep snow?

They like to bed down in ceder groves. Its tough to get in there far enough to see them without spooking them though. Sometimes the best way to get success when its like that is to go with a party and push them out.

I love hunting in the snow. You can spot deer a mile away.

I would start by removing the exhaust from your cart. I don't hunt, so I have no real tips to offer.

Dress warm!!!!! J/K

Like they said earlier snow makes it fun to hunt. You can really tell where the deer are actively moving to and from. Makes hunting a little easier. You just have to be in that spot at the right time.

Make sure you bring extra jackets, blankets, ect because sitting in a stand freezing your butt off is NO fun...

Looks like I should have asked about hunting in the ICE instead of the snow.

You got that right! If the trees are snapping over your way like they are here, I think I'd just stay out of the woods.

It's pretty bad around here and the wind is supposed to start up this afternoon. Hopefully some of the ice melts before the wind starts.
