Very nice! How big do there bodies get down there in texas? I killed an 8 point this year. It was a 5.5 year old deer. We had been watching it for 4 years. It was easy to identify because it had a chunk out of its ear, and it had a big cowlick on the back of its neck. Thats actually what we called him...lol Anyways he field dressed 215 pounds. Live weight was about 285. It was a brute. He scored 142 1/8 as just an 8 point. I'd love to come down in hunt in texas sometime. Love those wide racks!

Oh yeah, I've got several of those on my wall and can shoot them any time I like. Cabelas Big Game Hunter! Seriously though, very nice. Must be a well managed ranch.

It depends. I live about an hour NE of Austin on 20 acres. Without a high fence I've taken several bucks that were around 150lbs on the hoof. Most of the wide racks are on high dollar high fence operations.

That is indeed a nice buck , rack -wise would have to agree with deerslayer
Thou a little small in weight then what were used too up north , although
The deer have so much feed - beans , corn , hay its a smorgasbord up here
(Eat everything the cattle do )
Not unusual to have 220 dressed weight up here , but the racks we see r not as large as I see down your way
Cheers !
