Default Does anyone have any uncomplicated Game feeder plans

I have installed two pvc pipe feeders and one 30 gallon barrel feeder, and after riding the property lines saturday and Sunday, My wife asked me why we dont have more feeders around the place? My son about dropped his fork- Who is this woman wanting to know if we should put up more feeders- I have to have them down 30 days before season, so quick and simple is great

I wass thinking of more 4' PVC pipe 5 feet tall with a 90 degree connector at the bottom, a cap on top and half a coffee can lid to reduce the size of the whole-

Last year the dear kicked the feeders off of the trees with only two zip ties on them- this year we used four sets of zip ties-

any pictures or video would be appreciated-

I am in Missouri and can just taste a Backstrap cut 1 1/2 inches thick grilled medium rare, a baked tater- and garlic Eyetalian toast!!

I had a neighbor that took a junk water heater and cut
the top off and a hole in the bottom to feed hogs.

I've used the 4" PVC about 5 feet tall. On the bottom we used a fitting that angles back up at a 45 degree angle. Not sure what it's called. Basically a T but the side of the T goes up at the 45 degree angle. Under the T add a bit of pipe and an end cap. You can also get the T where the 45 angle end is reduced to I think 2". We've used that when we want turkey to use it instead of deer.

The problem I had was between the deer and raccoon they would clean it out in 24 hours.

I have also used 4 in. pipe to make feeders. I drive a t-post(iron fence post) in ground, cut a piece of plywood or tin with a hole in it for post to fit up through, cut small v in bottom end of pipe for corn to fall out side, set pipe up next to post on top of plywood/tin and secure to post with large hose clamps. Hope this helps.

They passed a new law in Georgia that lets you bait deer. Only in the southern zone, but thats where I hunt. Too expensive for me. I'll stay with food plots. Corn prices are high.
Pvc makes a great feeder. Used them in the past when I had source for free corn.

Forgot I had a picture of the feeders we made.

We used two different Ys at the bottom. One had the big opening and one had a 2" opening.

I also use some PVC feeders, I just use a cheap ratchet strap to T-post, biggest issue I would see with your set up would be water, what did you do to keep them from catching and holding the water that would swell n rot the corn ?

Personally I see no need for the feeders, they like it just as well on the ground ,spreadout like you're feeding the chickens.got some great photos of a coon taking over the feeding site from a couple of deer and a big hog.good hunting and be safe out there...ss

Here's what we use and how to make it. After it's assembled you just fill it with some corn and hang it from a limb in the area you want to hunt. With this set up you don't have to worry about your corn turning sour by getting wet.
