Default Heading for deer camp

Wife and are going to deer camp tomorrow. I need to get some fall/winter plots planted. I've decided to only plant some winter wheat this year. I haven't had time to shop for other varieties.
I will also check out stands for structual stability and get rid of wasp nest and such. If time allows I hope to get lift kit installed on my CC. EMP still hasn't returned upgraded motor for my EZGO, so I'll have to install that during deer season. I guess as long as I have one of them running I'll be ok, though I also have a 4 wheeler.
Hope your plans for hunting season is coming together. Good Luck. Mike

I will be out hunting with my son tomorrow morning. We have an early 2-day whitetail youth hunt thats starts on the 27th. I had 7 different bucks coming into my plots but over the past 2 weeks I havent seen much activity on my cameras so I'm just hoping one of them shows up this weekend during daylight hours.

I hunt in SW Georgia and man it is dry here. I am trying to get my plots harrowed for planting and ground is hard as a rock. I went over plots 4 times today and still can't get down more than 3-4 inches. I'll hit em again tomorrow. I think I will put out my fertilizer, but hold off on seeding. No moisture in soil and no rain forecast. I'll try planting opening weekend.
I pulled one camera from woods, had pics of a lot of does, hogs, and one small 4 pointer. I check my two other cameras tomorrow, hopefully Mr. Big will show up. Those darn hogs have been rooting up the land. Today I stepped in one of the ruts and busted my butt. My left ankle is the size of a softball. I'm staying on liquid pain killer the rest of the day.
Man, the price of fertilizer has gone out of the roof. I spent over $400 today and still need to buy my seed. Those deer better taste good. Good hunting to you. Mike

No real luck with the deer here, saw some does but they still had fawns with them. Did take out a 4ft rattler with my bow..that was a 1st...hate them!!
