I tried ice fishing once, but it takes forever to get the boat in the water.

I have done Simcoe but have been going to Nipissing the last couple years. I live on Lake Erie and she has 2' plus this year.. I also do Silver Lake, Chautauqua Lake mostly...These are all WNY lakes..

Seriously though, we had a little shanty we would pull behind the sled to get on the ice. It was about 4x6, big enough for 2 people. You fire up a Coleman lantern and in 30 minutes you'd be in a t shirt.

Man look at those perch. Reminds me of home.
