Default Marathon Atv swap

Well I am going to be uploading some photos of my progress here shortly! What we did Was took a Kawasaki Bayou 300 2x4 and transplanted her right in the heart of this seemingly innocent ez go marathon, We reused the swing arm setup of the cart and adapted the Engine Cradle from the bayou 300, We then proceeded to adapt the front suspension on to the cart and it is now lifted a good 3-4" from factory with some beefy wheels.

Total Cost to build!
200 for the Ez-go
Fourwheeler............. Free!
materials 300$

Best money I have ever spent so far. Now it needs some paint.

I cant wait to hear how it rides. I have a quadfrankencart and I added some coilovers up front to help absorb some of the push from the rear of the cart. The rear diff is locked so the 2 wheel drive really twists the cart when turning on pavement. The inside front wheel lifts off the ground. I found it doesn't do it at all when in dirt cuz the front then pushes. The knobbys up front catch quite well when on pavement though. I have yet to find a total remedy so it doesnt do it. The coilovers have helped alot. They let the front outside to dive more in the turns. Hella fun though having a cart with a 5 speed. 1st is the best for rough river bottoms and steep hills etc... 5th gear is......... too fast. I would imagine I would need an A-arm or long travel kit up front to keep the speed wabbles at bay?

I like your shifter idea. I have mine linked through the front wall and linked to the left to the outside of the cart to the left of the driver so we could have 3 on the bench w/o it in the way. I am wondering how long my booger welds will last on that setup.

We burn more fuel through the cart/quad (Kawi250) than all the dirtbikes combined when we go to ride camp. Cant get the kids off it. So much fun. The adults are on it quite a bit too.

My cart see's only gravel and dirt I don't have to many issues at all with speed wobbles Gps on my phone puts the cart right under 50mph which is plenty fast for me on a golf cart! If I need any more speed I pull out my Srt4 and go for a drive lol. As far as the ride goes though it rides pretty smooth off road it's a little on the soft side so I am thinking about putting some stiffer springs on the shocks after I send them off to be rebuilt.
