suspension help?
Have a 2008 ezgo with a jakes 6in long travel lift front and rear. We only use it once a summer and i leave it at our vacation spot . So working on it or taking measurements is difficult. Does any one know of a direct replacement shock size and brand. In an adjustable piggy back maybe. Do give the cart a better feel. The jakes shocks are great but im a big off road guy and like adjustability

Re: suspension help?
Adjust-ability = expensive. Try an atv shock. Measure from eye to eye unloaded and do some googling and find one that's close. Yamaha Warrior shocks are 14" eye to eye. 400ex shocks are 17". Not sure if you are looking for something softer or stiffer, but these are likely softer but are progressive rate and get stiffer as they compress.

Re: suspension help?
We are just finishing producing our first run of our new long travel shocks. As you can see this shock is built like a race car shock and is fully adjustable. These will be available in early January.

Re: suspension help?
Will these be available for front and rear? And what price range? I'd like to buy them for my EZGO with your companies front and rear long travel.

Re: suspension help?
They will be available for the front first and then we will make them for the rear. The rear won't be available until spring 2015. With the adjustability of this shock/spring we will be looking into make long travel rear kits for more models. We hope to have an answer on pricing next week.

Re: suspension help?
Dear Santa,
Hi, I've been a good boy this year. If these shocks will work on the front of my Marathon with a 300ex front suspension, I would like to add to my wish list. I can modify to make them work. p.s. if the elf's are having trouble with the plasma drive,...I understand. |

I replaced the Jakes rear LT coilovers with monroe air shocks (MA727) which are as close to direct bolt in as you can get IMO. I only had to fabricate custom mounting spacers as seen in the attached pictures. With the air shocks at 120-140 psi the ride is much improved. I also fabricated limiting straps from old seat belt material which kept the air shocks from always being at full extension therefore preventing leaks. |
