Default Tire size variation.

I am in the process of swapping out the wheels and tires on my golf cart and I noticed a really large difference in the tire sizes. Both of the tires I purchased are 23/10/14 so in theory they should be pretty close, but the new Excel street fox tires are on the small side. My Excel Sahara classics on the other hand are a good bit taller. The excel Sahara classics measure in at 22.75 inflated , the Excel street fox measures in at 21.5" I inflated, inimagine they will go up maybe an inch with air in them but until I'm done I won't know for sure. The new Street Fox tires are nice and wide, and once I mount them on a 9" wide wheel they should like huge on the golf cart. I've delt with tires a good bit in my life ( I sold tires for Goodyear) and I've seen tires of the same size have a slight difference especially when coming from different manufacturers, but never this much of a difference from the same manufacturer. Guess I'll loose a little too end, but gain a little acceleration from a stop.

They'll be taller once fully inflated. Some mfg will measure tire size while inflated to a certain psi, and that affects the overall height as well. For example, a tire inflated to 5 psi will measure differently than if it was at 15 psi, sometimes an inch larger. And between brands/models there is variation as well, but not usually more than 1/2" or so. I'd be shocked if those two tires aren't very close to the same size when inflated.

We shall see, and I'll post some pics once I get my new wheels
