Default Keep or sell cart..

my 95 cart in my sig is the cart I will use all summer. The campground I am taking to too has 5 miles of golf cart trails in the woods. The owner told me I will be one of three people there with electric while all others have gas carts due to the electric carts not being able to run long in the hills.

Once my light comes in I will be finished with my build (or so I thought) on this cart. I didn't plan on hitting the trails all day but I kind of think I will want to when I don't have kids with me.

Question is, should I sell or trade of my 95 series cart for a gas cart? Or do I have some misinformation? I know depends on quality of batt pack and all but on average what cart does better in the woods? Im not sure I want to keep the electric cart now as it seems like it will be a burden next to all the gas carts.

with the right controller you will have more torque then the normal gasser and climb past them all day long. yes you wont ever have the run time of a gas cart but you should be able to hold your own pretty good on run time with a good pack with higher amp hour batteries. I would play with it and see just how good /bad run time will be before thinking about selling

hard to tell its going to depend on what kind, how old and amp hours of the batteries you have now. plus the terrain is a factor wet / dry / mud and so on, plus how heavy footed you are . best thing to do is charged them over night , have a good digital soc meter installed and go for a run and see how fast the pack drains down to how much time you are playing .

sorry I must of not read your last post all the way through. If I were to use it primarily in hill country you reckon a gas cart would be better? id like to drive the electric for more then 5 min to see how long it lasts.

I've only had electric carts, so they're all I know. I would run your sparky and see how long it goes before it begins to feel sluggish. Then judge if that run time will be long enough for you...
