Default Good Cart for a build

Hi Guys, new to the forum. I have been lurking for a while, but decided to join up so I could post. I am looking to purchase my first cart sometime this year, so just doing some research right now. I plan to either buy a fully finished cart (lift, wheels, tires, etc) or buy a base unmodified cart and do the build myself. Not sure which route I will go yet. Also, I am looking for input on what would be the best cart to start with as my build platform. I want to stick with electric. This cart will be used to drive around my neighborhood, take to the pool etc. I am interested in the RXV's, but have heard they aren't great on low end torque. My neighbor just purchased a 2012 ezgo txt and it's pretty nice, so have looked in to them also. Thanks in advance for any input.

buy stock and build it yourself. more fun and you get to know the cart. I suggest Yamaha or club car, just my personal preference.

I would suggest a club car. I like DS body style the most . it has the most "car" look to them . plus the aluminum frame doesn't hurt either

Not sure who said an RXV doesn't have low end torque but I don't think so Tim.. They don't have a low of "grunt" at initial take-off but once rolling they will climb most anything with that 3 phase AC motor. I think the low torque at low speed is programmed to keep it from destroying itself when launching.

Agree with kgsc ^^

RXV's are great carts if you don't mind spending a little extra. I also think they are the best stock unmodified cart out there performace while.

Be careful with lifting and putting big tires on the RXV's. They get real top heavy.
