Well I had a chance to stop into my favorite cart supply place today, I took a look at the winch receiver axle weldment, the snow plow winch mount and a couple of bumpers. Basically it comes down to this, if you want your winch to be removable the front winch receiver axle weldment is for you, if you are doing any kind of offroading it seems that the grizzly brushguard with winch plate will be the best bet. it mount to where the roof struts mount. There are 3 ways people are putting winches on txts with three bolt steering that I have seen, Shock shield mounting, axle mounting, roof strut mounting.

Do like I did. I was tired of having to buy off the shelf items for my numerous hobbies. So I just started saving my pennies and watching Craigslist and started picking up the tools I thought I'd need for fab work to make my own parts and pieces.

I have thus far gotten pretty well set up. I also set up my own small machine shop which I'm still learning too use to make more precision parts.

All the tools are used for a lot of different things and I'm still learning on all of them, but getting parts made as I need them.

I even started picking up sheet metal tools too and need to get those set up and into use.

I just got tired of trying to figure out where I could get custom parts made or where to get the best deal on parts that would work. Also tired of inferior parts that cost an arm and a leg and one never knows until they arrive.

In the long run, getting your own tools to do the work is expensive, but worth it as if you do enough you eventually can pay for them. And if you find a niche on certain parts that others like, you can begin to pay the tools off faster by doing fab work for others.

I'll post pics of some of my tooling and such if anyone wants to see but don't want too hijack this thread to do so.

I have a full machine shop in the pole barn behind my house, plus welder, plasma cutter, torches and other various things fully accessible. The Plasma cutter is the one I wish I would purchase for myself
