G-16 3-link home build
This build started out to be a simple motor swap but it snowballed out of control. I'm trying to do this build as cheap as possible and am doing all the fabrication myself.
I had the big wheels and tires so that meant that I had to lift the cart. I lifted the front 4" and lifted the rear 4.5" and now I'm not happy with the rear and want to add a 3-link with a watts link instead of a panhard bar. So my biggest question right now is what size heim joints do I need to use on my link bars? I was originally thinking of using 1/2" ends with 1/2-20 threads but now I'm thinking that I may be able to get away with 3/8" ends with 3/8-24 threads. The difference in price is almost half. This cart will be a campground cruiser and will not get beat up running off road trails. What's your opinions on rod end size? |

Re: G-16 3-link home build
For suspension parts I always have used the chromoly heims. As far as price, you can't put a price on safety. I'd overbuild it, because underbuilding it means playing with your life.
Oh....and.... |
