Default Just finished A-Arm front end for Ez-go

Just wanted to share some pics of the front end I Just put on for the weekend (Thanksgiving). It is not completed. as I ran out of time to finish the detail work of enclosing the pivot bulkheads. No paint , shoddy wiring etc. We are camping for 5 days this week and I needed it driveable. Just test drove it and so far so good. Let me know if you have question.

Fantastic fab work! I am trying to get my front suspension finished unfortunately haven't the welding skills you have. You have no idea how much these photos helped.I would like to see your attaching set up for the bottom though.Mine is a honda atv front end so I am having to graft it into the front frame section. Thanks,Richie

Here is a shot of the bottom of the subframe on the bench. I used the stock leaf spring mounting plates in the stock location. On the topside I bent a piece of plate to match the angle in front of the old shock mounts , drilled some new holes for mounting the ran tubes straight out from that plate. Sorry I forgot to get some pics of the top. Next time I pull it apart I will do so.

Great job masheen ......... Did the idea come out of your own coconut, or did you lift the specifics from someone and just put your own spin onto it?

Really clean BTW: Welcome to the club

Hi Boris, the idea came as a result of the crappy/ twitchy/ unpredictable handling characteristics of the factory ez-go set-up. As far as the design goes It is an accumulation of on the job training / imagination. I started this project (modeling it) about 20 months ago. I live in SoCal and used to work as a fabricator/ machinist for a few off road race teams. I also was an instructor at a place called The Fab School which a close friend of mine owns whom I used to work with at said race teams. The company I now work for builds shocks for snowmobiles, utv's,rock crawlers etc. and aftermarket beadlock wheels for off-road and street use. The shocks on the cart are off the shelf snow shocks.Sorry for the long winded response.
