Default Disc brakes

OK,I have a lifted 96 G16 with 22" tires and looking at possibly adding disc brakes. First, will they work with a 96 because what I've seen so far days 97 and newer. Next,is it worth the $300. Also I'm a novice mechanic, how hard is the install?

Appreciate any input.

They are worth it and they will fit your cart but, they are not a bolt on install. Go to my website and find the link to the thread here showing the Yamaha install. You may have to copy and paste it? You may not want to tackle this.

Is there no difference from gas and sparky?

Looked at that post, and it only states up to the G14. Were there changes made to the early G16A (1996) that make it different. Know it's a long shot, but is there anyone out there that has a 96 G16A that has installed?
