Lastest Lift for Lockmans Lynx
(Say that 3 times really fast!)
Normally I'm pretty good at not needing help with my cart, but this one has me... Here's what I have... 2007 Club Car Lynx (DS) with an existing 4" Z lift... I added a Jake's 3" spindle lift some 5 years ago, (and it served me well!) But, I decided to replace the spindles with a Madjax 3 1/2" A-arm! (during the winter months, I removed the top spring for better articulation... so much for the warranty!) IMG_2965.JPG The tear-down, and new install was easy... but the final the alignment has me a bit perplexed! You can't really tell this front end pic, (camber has been corrected after this pic) BUT... I have 2" of toe-in!, (s/b 1/8") and the tie rod bar is adjusted fully in! (rod between the ball joints/tie rod ends) IMG_3026.JPG IMG_3027.JPG IMG_3028.JPG SOooo... Before I get out my trusty SawZall and trim 1/4" off of each side of the tie rod bar and booger up the threads, I figured I better ask to see if someone might have a better idea! |

Re: Lastest Lift for Lockmans Lynx
I had this issue with my yellow cart, but the toe in is only about an inch. Seems to drive alright that way, so I left it. Yours will likely need fixed since it is so severely toed in. Honestly, I had the sawzall idea myself back when I ran into the issue.
Sorry it took so long. |

Re: Lastest Lift for Lockmans Lynx
No problem.
I usually am really picky myself, but I was on a tight schedule way back in the day when I built that cart. I've always wanted to fix some of the things that bug me about it, soon I will when it gets some "special upgrades." |

I say hacksaw......slow and steady.....then tap to not ruin your ball joint threads.

Re: Lastest Lift for Lockmans Lynx
Yeah... it seems to drive pretty well, steers straight, turns well, but... but... but... it just looks goofy!
I don't have any plans (trail rides) just yet... I'll be patient and see if there's an "alternative"! (I'm really good with my SawZall though!) |

I cut 1/2" off of mine and tapped it deeper - Make sure you do the side with the RH threads unless you have a LH tap.
