Red Lights for Hunting
I have nice Led headlights and tail lights on my cart but would like to install some red LED headlights (two position switch)for driving into the woods in the morning. I can find lots of red LED strips, marker lights etc but can't seem to find what I need. Am I the only one that wants to use red light in order to be able to see enough to drive without ruining my night vision?
I also plan to put a switch on the backup beeper to maintain silence hunting and still be able to use it other times. Anybody else make similar additions for hunting? |

Re: Red Lights for Hunting
I might have to do something like that but would rather not. Surely I'm not the only one that is looking for this. Anybody that was in the military is used to red lights in the dark .

Me either (except hogs - which we don't have in delaware). What I'm talking about is coming in at oh dark thirty in the morning to get to a stand/blind and wanting to maintain my night vision and be as least disruptive as possible

Re: Red Lights for Hunting
Here ya go. I installed two of these on a buddy's BBB for night hunting (we do have hogs in Arkansas). After initially installing them on one switch, we ended up wiring them to separate switches cause sometimes both of them were too bright.
They work great and I wholly endorse this product. https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...ght/1671/4566/ |

Re: Red Lights for Hunting
I've been getting emails from a company called MYLED.com. They have a set of real nice super bright LED lights with 3 or 4 color selections via a handy remote. I was thinking of the same thing for driving into and through some of the fields in the early mornings in my HuntVe. However, I just went through their site and I can't find the lights they sent me info on anymore. Worth a look through their selections though.

Re: Red Lights for Hunting
I have some green ones from Rigid. They sell them in red as well. I got a slight price break on Ebay. I bought a pair of them.
