Widening Club Car rear end
I have a 1997 Club Car and want to widen the rear end. Can this be done?

Re: Widening Club Car rear end
the cart the rifter just picked up was widened with different axles. You can look at his pictures.
I would think any good rear end shop could widen the rear end by extending the axle tubes and making new axles. maybe 400 or so to do it right as it will be all custom |

Re: Widening Club Car rear end
3" wheel spacers on each side and the right offset rim like the Polaris ones would do it.

Re: Widening Club Car rear end
Those are both good ideas. I think I will take it down to the local rear end shop and see what they have to say. As soon as I get my buddys long travel sand rail finished up, I will be posting my new long travel golf cart project.

Re: Widening Club Car rear end
it all depends on how strong do you want it to be. 3" spacers and +2 back space rims will give you 10 inches wider in rear at the expense of stress on the bearing carriers in the rear end. Also stress on the circle clips inside the rear diff from the axles flexing out as our come down from a jump.
We have seen a lot of guys go this route so I think the rear end can take it. |
