Default Lift questions for CC DS IM A ROOKIE!!

Hello everyone I'm new to the forum and have a lift question......I posted in CC gas forum before I saw this section

I am wanting to put 12 inch rims/tires with a Jakes 6 inch spindle lift kit......for those of you that have done this or have experience with it, do I need to get all new leaf springs, shocks, bushings etc too or does the kit come with everything needed? It's a 2001 so I'm just wondering if I should get new bushings etc. do you guys approve this lift/12 inch combo? I use it for a utility cart/neighborhood stroll cart, nothing major?

Also, does anyone have a suggestion for where I can get the best deal on a front cowl replacement. I am going to have it painted so it doesn't have to be brand new just in decent condition.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

Others with more knowledge will chime in but I don't think the 12" wheel is the issue. I think you will have to stay with a 23" tire or smaller to prevent rubbing. Also, you need to look for the offset of the wheel. My 7" wheels are 3 / 4 offset. An 8" wheel would be 3 / 5 offset. This also helps prevent rubbing.

Sorry I should have been more clear but The ones I am getting are 22x11x12 so I should be good because it's the whole package together wheels/tires/lift kit combo

My main concerns are whether or not I need to/should replace the existing shocks, bushings, leaf springs etc

Shouldn't need to replace anything else given they are in good shape. Often times though, the bushings are worn out, especially in the rear leaf springs. If you can at least pull the rear leafs out to check those so you can order everything at the same time.

If they aren't leaking they are fine.
