Default 20" tires on ezgo txt

I have a non lifted mid 2000's ezgo txt that I have just put 20x10x10's on. From what I have read it should fit fine without scrapping but after installing them I see that it just clears on the back finders and it scrapes on with 4 riders on it if I hit a bump in the road. I have seen pictures of other txt's with 20's that were not lifted and they show more clearance than I have. I have noticed that the shocks look very worn. The rubber spacers ( if that is what you call them ) are cracked and look compressed. My question is, would I gain a little lift from replacing the shocks on my cart? I just need to gain about an inch of clearance to be ok. Thanks.

Shocks don't provide lift. Maybe your springs are wore out?

You might consider replacing the existing rear shackles with one that will give you a one inch or so nudge up. I found one on ebay that would work for about $27.00, however, I had already done the rear spring upgrade.
